Niko Venneker - NIKO'S IKONS
NIKO'S IKONS bevat hoofdzakelijk nooit eerder geziene kleuren- en zwart-witfoto's van Nederlandse en internationale popartiesten, met zorg geselecteerd uit het archief van de fotograaf, met begeleidende teksten in het Nederlands en Engels. Het boek zal in het najaar van 2023 verschijnen.
NIKO'S IKONS contains mostly never-seen-before colour and black & white photos of Dutch and international pop music artists, carefully selected from the photographer's archive, with texts in both Dutch and English, and is scheduled to be published in the Fall of 2023.
Over de auteur
Fotograaf Niko Venneker, artistiek en commercieel fotograaf, portretteerde tussen 1969 en 1974 Nederlandse en internationale popartiesten ten behoeve van tijdschriften – o.a. Popfoto, Muziek Parade, Televizier – en platenhoezen.
Hij kreeg vele bekende, beroemde en soms legendarische popmuziek IKONS voor zijn lens, zoals Albert West, Barry Gibb, Bintangs, Bonnie St. Claire, Country Joe, Earth & Fire, Ekseption, Fleetwood Mac, George Baker Selection, Golden Earring, Jerney Kaagman, Jimmy Cliff, Jody Grind, John Mayall, Jose Feliciano, Mariska Veres, Robert Long, Shocking Blue, Supersister, Swinging Soul Machine, The Byrds, The Motions, Unit Gloria en Zen.
About the author
Photographer Niko Venneker has devoted his professional life to artistic and commercial photography. From 1969 to 1974, he captured Dutch and internationals pop and rock artists on film for magazine articles and record sleeves.
Among them are well-known, famous and sometimes legendary pop music IKONS such as Barry Gibb, Bintangs, Country Joe, Earth & Fire, Ekseption, Fleetwood Mac, George Baker Selection, Golden Earring, Jimmy Cliff, Jody Grind, John Mayall, Jose Feliciano, Shocking Blue, Supersister, Swinging Soul Machine, The Byrds, The Motions, Unit Gloria and Zen.
